Eat Sushi – Kensal Rise

Having a Saturday off is a precious and unexpected luxury in my world, so using part of it to be pampered for three hours in a most indulgent facial and pedicure was like a little slice of heaven.
Equally my fondness for Japanese food had to be indulged to complete a near perfect day of self gratification. I decided to try out the online ordering service based in Kensal Rise and to my delight both the price and the quality of the food were surprisingly good.
I could eat sashimi everyday and  most certainly if it was served up by this company. A generous twelve  piece portion of beautifully fresh, gleaming raw fish was served up with a mountain of daikon and the usual gubbins. My friend started with the chicken gyoza (small, deep fried dumplings) the filling of which were very tasty but I found the pastry slightly over cooked.
We shared the chicken yaki udon and both of us were really impressed. The chicken was soft and moist, the delicate coating on the perfectly cooked noodles was absolutely scrumptious.
It’s cheaper than many other Japanese takeaway services and certainly a lot better than most.
A great little find.
