Cheese, glorious cheese. The last time I had an aged Gouda it had been matured for two years. I purchased it from La cave a Fromage in Brighton but you can buy the above from Waitrose. It’s not quite as sharp because it’s matured for around forty weeks before it goes on the shelves. Perfect with a tangy chutney and would grace a dinner table as part of a cheese course handsomely. Don’t mistake this for the bland, slightly plastic tasting everyday Gouda you get in the supermarkets. This one’s a spankingly good eat.
